For 170 years, Girard College has created access to excellence for economically-disadvantaged students by providing full scholarships to all attendees, covering all academic and residential opportunities on campus. As Girard considers its past and future, it invites others who serve similar missions to discuss common goals.

Join us on November 7th, 2018. The evening will begin with an Educational Access Fair, featuring representatives from at least 10 like-minded organizations who will be on-hand to discuss opportunities for students, families, volunteers, donors and more. Following the fair, Walter D. Palmer will present his thoughts and research on the importance of access to quality education for underserved students.

Palmer is the founder and director of The Palmer Foundation and a lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Social Policy and Practice, where he has taught American Racism, Institutional Racism and Social Change since 1990. He is also the founder of The Black Men at Penn, School of Social Work, Inc. and The Center on American Racism and Social Justice at the School of Social Policy and Practice.
